One person. Personal work. No agency markup.

These prices are set deliberately — here's the context behind them.

What a comparable agency audit costs

A mid-tier SEO agency on the Lower Mainland typically charges $2,500–$5,000 for a local SEO audit — then upsells a monthly retainer starting at $1,500. The audit is usually produced by a junior analyst using a template, reviewed by an account manager who has never heard of your business, and delivered as a dense 80-page PDF you'll need help interpreting.

What you get from Island Rank

A personal audit done by one specialist — me — who reads your site, your Google Business Profile, and your competitors with your specific market in mind. A plain-English report you can actually act on. Direct email access for 30 days. No retainer, no monthly fees, no account managers between you and the work.

Why fixed pricing, not hourly

Fixed pricing means you know exactly what you're spending before you commit. Hourly billing creates incentive to slow down. A flat fee creates incentive to be efficient and clear. You get a defined scope, a defined deliverable, and a defined price — no surprises.

The honest version of ROI

One new customer from a high-intent local search — a trade job, a clinic appointment, a tourism booking — often pays for the audit on its own. The goal isn't to sell you on a vague multiplier. It's to fix the specific things stopping the right customers from finding you, clearly and once.

Enhance your audit with citation cleanup

Add hands-on citation work to any package — ideal when the audit reveals significant inconsistency across local directories.

A note on implementation

Island Rank Canada provides audits and strategic guidance — not implementation services. After your audit, you take the prioritized action plan to your developer, web team, or marketing partner to carry out the recommendations.

The Citation Cleanup & Build add-on is the one exception: it's a specific, bounded task that Island Rank can handle directly to ensure accuracy across the directories that matter most for Vancouver Island local search.

Three steps from booking to your action plan

The full process is explained on the How It Works page — here's the short version.

1

Discovery call

A short conversation about your business, your goals, who your customers are, and what you've already tried. This shapes the audit so it's specific to your situation — not a generic checklist.

2

Audit & report

I work through your site, your Google Business Profile, your citations, and your competitors. Within 5–10 business days you receive a plain-English written report with prioritized, actionable recommendations.

3

30-day follow-up

After delivery, I'm available by email for 30 days to answer questions, clarify recommendations, and help you think through implementation decisions. Multi-Location also includes two structured calls.

Pricing questions answered

A few things people ask before booking. More in the full FAQ.

Is there a monthly fee or ongoing contract?

No. Both packages are a single one-time fee. There is no monthly retainer, no subscription, and no long-term commitment of any kind.

Which package is right for my business?

If you operate from one location or serve one primary community, Local Spotlight is the right fit. If you have multiple locations or serve several communities across Vancouver Island, Multi-Location Review covers the additional complexity.

What does the follow-up support include?

Both packages include 30 days of email support after the audit is delivered. The Multi-Location Review also includes two structured follow-up calls to work through the report and next steps together.

Do you implement the recommendations?

Island Rank Canada provides audits and strategic guidance, not implementation. After delivery, you take the report to your developer or web team. The Citation Cleanup add-on is the one exception — that's handled directly.

How long does an audit take?

After the discovery call, most audits are completed and delivered within 5–10 business days depending on site size and the package selected. Timelines are confirmed when you book.

Can I add the Citation Cleanup to either package?

Yes — the Citation Cleanup & Build add-on can be combined with either the Local Spotlight or the Multi-Location Review. Just mention it when you get in touch.

When you book, you're booking time with me directly

I'm Michael Perks. I run Island Rank Canada out of Duncan, and every audit goes through me from first call to final report. There's no team behind the curtain, no hand-off to a junior analyst, and no situation where you explain your business three times to three different people.

I chose fixed-scope, flat-fee work specifically because it keeps things honest. You know what you're getting. I know what I'm delivering. The 30-day follow-up is there because I'd rather you understand the report than have you implement something the wrong way and wonder why it didn't work.

If you're comparing me to a larger agency, the honest difference is this: you get less sales infrastructure and more actual work. The report you receive is written for your business, not adapted from a template.

If you want to read more about how I approach this, the Michael Perks page has the fuller story.
